  • QM Customize Personal Preferences

    QM can be personalized for the way you want to work and sew. Changing the setting in Options and Settings allows you to select options to work with the specific project as well as what you see on the screen.

  • Setting the Safe Area

    What is the safe area and how do you set it? This tutorial answers both of the questions. When QM is opened, before selecting any pattern, the safe area must be set. Following these techniques, your safe area will be set perfectly every time.

  • Create A Basting Line

    In this tutorial learn how to use PatternCAD to design a straight line, save it, then use it to baste the batting to the backing. This straight line, parallel to the rollers is perfect as a placement line for the quilt top.

  • Importing Patterns

    QM will import a number of different types of file extensions. Using batch import, several patterns can be selected at the same time. This tutorial walks you through the steps to import patterns and move them from the batch folder to a different folder ready to use.

  • Opening Purchased .gpf Files

    When purchasing patterns, the file is usually a zip file with many pattern extensions. More and more you will find .gpf files ready to use in QM. This tutorial will show you how to open these directly and save for future use.
