In the 2017 Version 4 update QM got a new feature, on-point block placement. Using the rotation feature (in pattern sizer in this video), it is easy to rotate and place as an on-point block. Version 5 (2020) now offers the rotation feature on the same page as the placement buttons for even easier use.
